Call for Participation – engl.
We would like to invite you to actively participate in shaping the 13. Kulturpolitische Bundeskongress. We are looking for ideas for:
- practice-oriented forum workshops (June 11–12, 2026) and
- an activating, participatory closing format (June 12, 2026)
During the two days of the congress, the topic “Wi(e)der die Wut. Kulturpolitische Netzwerke gegen Autoritarismus” (Against Anger. Cultural Policy Networks Against Authoritarianism) will be addressed in various formats. The focus will be on three topics in particular:
- »Neutrality as an attitude?«
- »Financing as a gateway?«
- »Networks as a salvation?«
The aim is, in particular, to learn from each other and to develop practical courses of action.
We are looking for ideas for (1) forum workshops (from World Café to theatrical experiments) and (2) an activating, participatory closing format for reflection on the conference.

The selection will be made by April 17, 2026, by a jury consisting of Critical Friends and the organizers — Kulturpolitische Gesellschaft and Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung/bpb — as well as the congress partner Deutscher Städtetag.
Questions regarding organization and content can be directed to Antonia Callenberg (callenberg@kupoge.de).
Let’s shape the 13. Kulturpolitische Bundeskongress together. We look forward to your ideas!
